The Live in Lynn Valley Village concerts series will be held in the Lynn Valley Village Plaza from
July 4th - August 22nd.  Every Friday from 7 - 9pm.

The Concert series are put on by North Vancouver Recreation & Culture, Vancity, Delany's Coffee, The Botto Team, North Shore News, Lynn Valley Village, the District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver and the BC Film Industry.  Each night has an evening sponsor from the merchants in various location.

Our father's are special part of all of us and once again we honor them on their special day, Father’s day Sunday June 15th.

Here are some ideas of how we at Lynn Valley Village can help you make the day special.

Serve him nutritious breakfast with ingredients from Nourish Market an present him with sweets and chocolate from Sugar & co and Posy or a gift certificate for some manly pampering from The Village Barber,  Zazou Salon and Spa, Lynn Valley Optometry, YYoga, Canopy or The Beach Tanning Studio.

Go for a stroll in the Village and drop in for coffee at Delany’s or sit down for lunch or dinner at Browns Socialhouse, Valley Sushi or Papa Johns. Or should you be more energetic grab a healthy smoothie at Booster Juice and head out to for a nice hike in the Lynn Valley Canyon.

The ideas are endless and within every price range. Come and visit us and we will help you make the day a very special one for the mother in your life.

The Father's Day Contest

The North Shore Community Garden Society has secured funding for our latest garden at 3590 Mountain Highway.  Garden plots at the Lynn Valley Lions Community Garden will be available to any District of North Vancouver (DNV) resident, for details see Option 1 & 2 below.

Please note: if you have a preference for the Lillooet or future Garibaldi community gardens, you can still become a member of the Lynn Valley Lions Garden.  If you take a plot at the Lynn Valley Lions Garden your name would remain on the Lillooet or Garibaldi wait-lists. When a plot at Lillooet or future Garibaldi community garden is offered to you, you will then need to make a decision about staying in the Lynn Valley Lions Garden or switching to the newly offered plot.   

HOW TO GET A PLOT AT LYNN VALLEY LIONS COMMUNITY GARDEN:

Option 1:

Volunteer to help us build the garden! All volunteers will get priority for a plot.  If there are more volunteers than plots, we will hold a random draw for a plot from the list of volunteers.

• Minimum of 4 hours volunteer time (ex. digging, moving soil, constructing the garden beds, planting, etc.)
• No gardening or construction skills are required to participate, but please let us know if you do have specific expertise or skills (ex. carpenter)
• We will make an effort to provide volunteer activities for all skill levels and abilities - please contact us if you have questions.
• Volunteer Days are: July 18, 19, 20.  If you cannot make it to these work parties, you can send a proxy on your behalf.  If you put your name down to volunteer we will contact you closer to these dates to confirm exact times, but some time periods will be during the day, some evening.

Option 2: 

Submit your name to our Lynn Valley Lions Garden list. This is a good option if you are unable to volunteer to help build the garden, but does not guarantee you will receive a plot.  Once all volunteers have been assigned a plot we will hold a random draw for the remaining plots from this list.  If we don’t have any plots left over, we will still hold a random draw to determine the order of names on the waiting list.

Lynn Valley Days is an annual community celebration that kicks off with traditional Lynn Valley Lions Pancake Breakfast at 8 am at Lynn Valley Park. Followed by a parade and a full day of entertainment and family activities.

The parade starts 10 am at Mollie Nye Way and continues along Lynn Valley Road to Mountain Highway (Detours in effect from 9:45 - 11:30 Lynn Valley Road south lane and Mountain Highway is closed).

There will be a full day of enterainment and family fun, including a car show, games, rides and races.

There will be no official entertainment in the  Lynn Valley Village plaza but our businesses such as Browns Socialhouse, Valley Sushi, Papa Johns, Delany's Coffee House, Booster Juice, Nourish Market and Sugar & Co are all open.
