Join us for an evening with local author Shelley O’Callaghan.

Join Shelley O’Callaghan for a reading from her new book, How Deep is the Lake: A Century at Chilliwack Lake. O'Callaghan will discuss how she penned this memoir to her grandchildren educating them on the legacy of white settlement on the lake community where her family has vacationed for over one hundred years. Daniel Francis, editor of Encyclopedia of British Columbia says, "Only someone with O’Callaghan’s intimate attachment to ‘the lake’ could have written such an appealing history-cum-memoir”.

An Evening with Local Children’s Author Penny McDonald (7:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

join us for an evening to celebrate author Penny McDonald’s latest children’s book The Dolphin Ring.

Amateur sleuths, Alice and Emma Eden are faced with another mystery when they spend a summer holiday at a neglected cottage their father purchased from a reclusive mortician. Finding a valuable ring buried in the sand is just the beginning of an adventure involving a haunting nightmare, an unsolved disappearance and human bones found in odd places. When the 12-year-olds learn more about the wayward undertaker from a neighbour, they discover that the perplexing case has an uncanny connection to the mystery they helped solve at their home the year before. Driven by a desire to unravel the puzzle before their vacation is over, the twins work with police to reunite a family torn apart by a wicked wind storm on Osoyoos Lake seven years before.

Register online by clicking register above or at 604-984-0286, ext. 8144.
