Come join us for a special talk about the Battle of Vimy Ridge!

April 9, 2017 is the 100thAnniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, a turning point in World War I.  Walter Draycott, North Vancouver pioneer and historian, was a topographer at Vimy Ridge and recorded the events in his diary. 

Join author and military historian Hugh Brewster and NVMA Archivist Janet Turner for an evening commemorating the anniversary with a discussion of the Battle and Draycott’s participation. Come by to view Draycott’s diaries, maps and more, as well as time to ask questions! This program is for all ages who would like to learn more about WWI, or who are interested in Canada’s military history, and local history.
