Join Shelley O’Callaghan for a reading from her new book, How Deep is the Lake: A Century at Chilliwack Lake. O'Callaghan will discuss how she penned this memoir to her grandchildren educating them on the legacy of white settlement on the lake community where her family has vacationed for over one hundred years. Daniel Francis, editor of Encyclopedia of British Columbia says, "Only someone with O’Callaghan’s intimate attachment to ‘the lake’ could have written such an appealing history-cum-memoir”.
